Hello Red Umbrella Marchers!

Dear Red Umbrella March partners, Sex Workers United Against Violence, PACE Society, Pivot Legal Society, BC Coalition of Experiential Communities and SWAN Society Vancouver:

After two years of covid pandemic restrictions on crowds, it feels like 2022 will be the year to celebrate our 10-year anniversary in the streets!

This year, Red Umbrella March for Sex Work Solidarity will be on the second Saturday in June — June 12. As we did that first year in 2013, ahead of the Supreme Court hearings in Canada v. Bedford, we will begin our march with speeches on the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery. From there, we will march up Robson to Granville and down Hastings to Victory Square where we will have more speeches and festivities.

Later, Join us at the Carnegie Centre for Red Umbrella Movie Night, “Documentaries for Thinkers” UBC HUM101 program for the latest hot docs on sex workers’ rights!

Mark your calendars! Saturday June 12, 2022 10th Vancouver Annual Red Umbrella March. Dress up! Wear red! Bring a Red Umbrella! And celebrate the 10th anniversary of Vancouver’s Red Umbrella March for Sex Work Solidarity!
