Who is “our community”? It can mean different things when used in different ways. But for the purposes of Trade Secrets, “our community” refers not only to other adult industry members, and possibly patrons. It refers to our cultural associations, neighbourhoods, our kids’ schools, our cities, provinces, and our country.
Regardless of circumstances that others may use to apply a hierarchy to their world order, the fact remains that we are all equal. We are all worthwhile contributors to our communities. And we all have a basic human need to feel like we belong.
This chapter will focus on how we fit into our communities and ways to feel more connected.
